우리 언어와 생각이 세계의 다양한 대상들과 어떻게 관련이 되는지에 주요한 관심이 있습니다; 제 연구는 주로, 이름, 이름이 지시하는 대상, 그리고 그 대상에 대한 생각과 관련한 주제들을 다루어 왔습니다. 특히 단칭 생각의 조건에 관한 문제, 이름의 의미론, 우연-선험 명제의 문제들을 연구해 왔고, 현재는 "스파이더맨"과 스파이더맨 같은 허구적 이름과 존재자들에 대해 연구하고 있습니다.
